 The long awaited SlingPlayer Mobile for Series 60 has come out of beta and is available to buy from Sling Media. I got word of it from a thread over at My-Symbian, thanks to a post by BentL. The Sling Media Press Release states three different prices depending on the currency used to make a purchase and presumably the country a purchase is made from:

When I read that Microsoft are increasing the global warranty on Xbox 360s to a whopping three years from the console’s purchase date, I had to check the calendar but alas, April 1st had already passed.

N95 hissing over earphones/headphones

Shure attenuator on N95 to reduce hissing I’ve noticed a problem with hissing through earphones when plugged in to the 3.5mm jack and after a search, I’m not the only one. It seems to be more noticeable on my Shure E4c canal-phones than it does on a pair of first-gen iPod earphones. The volume at anything below 40%, depending on the gain on the track, allows me to hear the hissing but turning the volume up too high will be uncomfortable.

Finally I have a Nokia N95!

n95 - Nokia Press It’s been out a while but I finally managed to get myself a Nokia N95! I’ve been waiting for a decent phone for a while now and I think this is it bar a few problems. It runs the Symbian operating system, which I haven’t had in a phone since the Nokia 7650 and then the Sony Ericsson P900i, allowing users to install a whole manner of applications to increase the functionality of the handset.
